Arrests Not Permitted For Free Speech

We recently settled a false arrest case on behalf of a Washington Heights graffiti artist who was targeted by the NYPD for his authorized work. In one of his pieces, he painted the name of the NYPD officer who was harassing him on a shop mural he was hired to paint. The City settled the case, compensating the artist for his 2 separate arrests.
